TECHNOLOGY


TECHNOLOGIES, PREPARATIONS, EQUIPMENT, proposed by the Institute for Problems of Cryobiology and Cryomedicine, Interdepartmental Center, Kriospektr, Inc. for selling or providing to other establishments, basing on scientific and commercial agreements.

1. Technology of technical polyethylene oxide of 400 molecular mass (PEO-400) purification for biological object cryopreservation.
2. Production technology of antiedematic (osmodiuretic) "Cryopolyosm" agent by applying PEO-400 .
3. Technology of PEO application in "Mars" composition for preliminary sowing treatment of agricultural seeds with the aim of acceleration of sprouting synchronization, bactericidal and fungicidal effect and increase in frost resistanc e and productivity of plants and fruits.
4. Technology of cryopreservation of erythrocyte mass using the multicomponent medium "Propanediosakharol".
5. Cryopreservation technology of sperm and embryos of fish, birds and mammalians as well as freezing equipment for its realization.
6. Technology for ultrarapid freezing of sperm, human and agricultural animals embryos.
7. Technology of low temperature effect regimen for the treatment of burn damages and trophic ulcers and equipment for its realization.
8. Technology and methods of treatment of stomach and duodenal ulcers with necessary cryoelectrocoagulational apparatuses.
9. Technology of cryopreservation and lyophilization of microorganisms of different taxonomic groups (yeast, actinomyces, lactobacilli, cyanobacteria) for application in food industry, medicine and veterinary.
10. Cryopreservation technology of hybridomas for application in medicine.
11. Technology of long-term storage of biological objects (human tissues and organs, those of rare and endangered animal's and plant species) using automatized cryobank systems.
12. Technology of extracorporal human blood purification basing on the application of cryopreserved hepatocytes.
13. Technology of programmable human organism cooling for the treatment of diseases (manic-depressive state, vegetovascular disorders, hypothalamic syndrome, abstinent syndrome, acute poisoning, pathological climacterium, gestoses in pregnants etc.) .
14. Treatment technology of different diseases of nerve system, acute and chronic blood diseases, immunity disorders, tumor process, endocrinic pathology, including diabetis, ophthalmological diseases, disorders of sexual and reproducti ve functions, pregnancy pathology, orthopedic diseases, some inherent defects, traumas, syndrome of chronic fatigue etc. on the base of application of cryopreserved bioobjects:

- human cord blood stem cells;
- pancreas islet cells suspension of human and piglets' fetus;
- cell culture of new-born piglets' adrenal gland;
- aqueous-saline placenta extract (including for cosmetological purposes).

16. Proposed equipment (with with its application technology), produced by Special Designing Technological Bureau with Experimental Unit of the National Academy of Sciences of the Ukraine.

The Special Designing and Technological Bureau with Experimental Production Unit
Financially independent and with the rights of juridically person, Institute subunit includes 47 engineers and technicians. The workers of a Special Construction-Designing Bureau with Experimental Production Unit of the Institute are busy designing and manufacturing prototypes and experimental models of cryoapparatus and cryoins truments. For example, created cryoelectrocoagulator (KEK-01) occured to be very effective when treating stomach and duodenal ulcers and polyps. SDTB with EU designs together with the Institute collaborators and produce in small series the equipment for cryobiological investigations, cryoapparatuses and devices for medical purposes.

Equipment for Low Temperature Preservation of Biological Objects

1. Programmable apparatuses for freeze-thawing of different types, applied for freezing of nucleus-containing cells of blood, bone marrow, sperm, embryos, bacterial and cellular cultures. Temperature range +40......-160 ° C. Cooling temperature range 0,1......30° C/ min.
2. Equipment of low temperature banks:
2.1. Low temperature biostorehouses with the systems of temperature and cooling agent level control.
2.2. Cassettes with packing of various forms.
2.3. The containers of multiple use of the volume from 1 ml to 500 ml.
2.4. Liquid and gas-like nitrogen supplying systems on the base of Dewar vessels of 34 to 500 l volume.
2.5. Portable Dewar vessels with 6, 10 l volume.
3. Sublimational sets of chamber and collector types, designated for freezing-drying of biological suspensions, packed in different containers, allowing to master the regimens and produce lyophilized preparations.
Productivity - from 0,1 kg to 20 kg of ice per cycle
Desublimator temperature from -45° C to -196° C
Cold sourse - liquid nitrogen, cooling assembly, Peltier elements.

Equipment for Medicine

4. Apparatus for universal hypothermia, designated for automatic cooling and temperature stabilization of cooling device, allowing to cool an organism and some parts of human body, using craniocerebral and local hypothermia. Temperature range +20° C....-10° C.
5. Cryoelectrocoagulator permitting to conduct a local cold effect by "Khladon"cooling agent spray and electrocoagulation on stomach and duodenum surfaces. It is applied with different types of flexible endoscopes fiber optics. Temperature of "Khladon" cooling agent stream from -30° C.....-50° C.

Equipment for the Blood Transfusion Stations and Stock-Raising

6. Assembly for UPF-1 blood plasm fractioning. Volume of operation capacity - 40 l; number of operating vessels - 2.
7. Assembly for USS-25 blood component sublimation. Productivity - 25 kg of ice per a cycle.Desublimator termperature -65C. Temperature range of shelves - +50C .....-40C. Temperature range +50...-40C.Capacity - 98 bottles of 0.5 l each.
8. ZEM-4 embryos freezer. Designated for programmable freezing of embryos and sperm of agricultural animals.
9. Low temperature storage for embryos and sperm of cattle. On the base of Dewar vessels from 5 to 34 l.
